UNIPRO® Leads the Way in Sustainable Plastic Packaging
As the world moves toward more sustainable practices, the packaging industry is undergoing a major transformation. With ongoing developments in packaging materials and a growing focus on circular economy principles, we, at UNIPRO, are committed to doing our part for a cleaner future.
At UNIPRO, we recognize the importance of reducing our environmental impact and that is why we are proud to be at the forefront of responsible plastic use. The plastics we currently use in our track packaging already meet the requirements set by the European Union directive that will come into effect in 2030. This means our materials comply with upcoming environmental standards nearly five years in advance. More importantly, our plastic is 100% recyclable and contains 30% recycled content, helping to reduce waste and lessen the demand for virgin resources. Making plastic materials requires 40 % less energy and produces less waste than producing the same amount of cardboard. Combining the fact by using plastics in our track packaging, we were able to reduce packaging materials per track meter by 85% by weight. This also helps UNIPRO to reduce its environmental impact.
We understand that sustainability is not a fixed goal, but a continuous journey. That’s why we are constantly monitoring advancements in plastic technology and recycling methods. Whenever new, improved materials become available, we evaluate and implement them as quickly and efficiently as possible to stay ahead of the curve.

Beyond tracks, UNIPRO® has committed to reducing its environmental footprint by using 100% recycled cardboard for all its accessories packaging. This shift has already yielded impressive results, allowing the company to cut plastic usage by more than one tonne annually. By investing in smarter, more sustainable packaging today, UNIPRO is helping to ensure a healthier planet for tomorrow. Through innovation, responsibility, and forward-thinking practices, we are not just meeting industry standards—we are setting them.
